A song about ideological whitewashes.

roving artificial eye, making snapshots in spasm,
supreme hypernormalised,
surmising reality at 30 frames per second,
yet the grain is not that fine
our stories are now quantised
yet one eye sees the world anew,
like only a few do,
but me and you can....
...... only hope to spectate, hold on tight to the rails,
as fake history gets written on our behalf by pseudo-scholarly husks....

.... who cast onerous aspersions,
weight of cause/effect can send us,
teeming errantly of kilter,
cos not one single one of us,
could possibly ascertain how one thing leads to another,
because history is not linear,
it's just really confusing.

it can only be written in retrospect
when circumspect circumlocution
sends us round the houses
evading a destination
the western canon
deploys drum and trumpet
parping triumphalist hymns in the key of sins
which is surely flat
and occludes from view
a number of squandered virtues
and manifold abberations
on nations and civilisations
